Alexander Kaplan a painter and art teacher was born in Charkov Russia in 1945. He attended the Academy of Art in Charkov and later the University of Fine Art in St. Petersburg. At St. Petersburg he obtained a Master Degree in Art specializing in the works of Impressionist ans Contemporary artists like Archipenko and Moshe Fredkin. Alexander Kaplan works were shown in exhibitions at different Galleries in Russia in 1968-1969, in Canada at the International Expo of 1969, in Germany in 1971 and in The New York Artexpo in 1993. In Israel Mr. Kaplan has several One Man Shows. In 1975 Mr. Kaplan’s work was chosen to be shown as one of the participating Israeli artists at a special ART SHOW in the residence of the President of Israel. Four Israeli Museums acquired his work for their permanent collection. These works are part of the Museums continuous exhibits. Mr. Kaplan main interest is painting and to a lesser scale sculpturing and stage design.
