| Louis Neillot, born in Vichy, has been called the last of the Fauves. Neillot's daughter Juliette Chopin is also a painter. Neillot was called up at the age of just 16 to serve in WWI. He exhibited from 1920, at the Salon des Indépendants, of which he became vice-president, the Salon d'Automne, of which he became a member, and the Salon des Tuileries, from its foundation. In 1926 Louis Neillot founded the group Le Sycophante. |
