| Born in March 1949, Linda Carter Holman spent part of her childhood in Venezuela and the rest in Cushing, OK. At the age of twenty, she began to explore her artistic nature by painting. Holman also works in ceramics, bronze sculpture and printmaking. She taught herself how to use different media to express her fervent imagination. The flowing and innocent nature of Holmans art, prints and posters is what draws the viewer into her colorful world but her sense of humor and talent for detail bring the viewer back. Her art creates a world of enchantment that is ruled by domestic order and overlaps with fairy-tale fantasy. |
