One of the 303 copies printed on Velin à la forme Johannot. 91 pages. French text. Softbound. Publisher's pale green printed wrappers, with a matching slipcase. Uncut pages. The illustrations by Pierre Brissaud are original etchings, printed from the plates by atelier Nourisson. Each has a plain tissue guard -- (the guards display some transfer from the printing inks used, as might be expected. This is copy number 293 of the edition on vélin Johannot. Pierre Brissaud [1885-1964] was an art déco master, best known for his superb work in pochoir for the Gazette du Bon Ton, Vogue (Paris) and several other illustrated books... Size 8.25x5.50 inches
